How do I sign up for classes?
The easiest way to sign up is by registering online here, or by calling 256-535-4350 x222 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration can be completed in person at the Museum during regular business hours. To register via mail, download the form Fall 2016 Museum Academy Registration Form and mail it along with your payment to the Huntsville Museum of Art, 300 Church Street South, Huntsville, AL 35801.

If you would like a copy of the Museum Academy class brochure, you may call the 256-535-4350 x222 or send your name and address via e-mail to email@example.com to request a brochure via mail.
What are your cancellation policies?
A $20 fee will be charged for canceling registration; the rest of the balance will be refunded. However, there will be no refund for cancellations within one week of the first class. (Please Note: Master Artist Workshops’ cancellation policy may vary depending on each workshop. Visit hsvmuseum.org/museumacademy/master-artist-workshop/ for more details). No refunds will be given for any class session(s) that students miss. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis! The Museum reserves the right to cancel classes which do not meet minimum enrollment requirements. This minimum enrollment is determined on an individual class basis. In case of cancellation by the Museum, the advanced payment will be refunded to you. The Huntsville Museum of Art assumes no liability for non-refundable airline tickets that cannot be used due to any classes or workshops being cancelled or schedule changes.

What options do adults have while waiting on their children participating in the classes?
While children are attending class, parents are invited to visit the Museum galleries during regular business hours (free admission to Museum members, non-members pay general admission fee), Children’s Community Gallery, and Pane e Vino (Museum cafe).
Do you have a waiting list policy?
If you wish to register for a class that is full, your name will be placed on a waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis. Should a spot become available, you will be notified by the museum.
What is your policy on photo releases?
Please note the Huntsville Museum of Art may take photographs of Museum programs and events for use in publicity materials. Please notify the photographer if you prefer not to have your picture and/or your child’s picture taken during the class.
What is the Huntsville Museum of Art – Museum Academy Visual Arts Scholarship?
The scholarships are awarded to Huntsville City, Madison City, Madison County and surrounding county school students (ages 3 to 18) as a means of encouraging and fostering artistic development in young people. Scholarships are available based on merit and financial need to offer youth art studio programs. What is your policy if severe weather disrupts a scheduled class or workshop?
The Huntsville Museum of Art will make every possible effort to reschedule a make-up for classes missed due to severe weather. During severe weather, the Huntsville Museum of Art’s Museum Academy schedule will follow that of the Huntsville City Schools: If the school system closes, the Museum Academy classes will also be postponed. The classes will then meet at their next regular scheduled time. If classes or workshops are on the weekend, call 256-535-4350 x222. When classes or workshops are postponed, there will be a recorded message at 256.535.4350 x222.
Where should I park when coming to attend a Museum Academy class?
The Museum is located at the corner of Church Street South and Williams Avenue. Class participants may park in front of the Museum or alongside the Big Spring International Park where metered parking is available (Please check the metered hours). There is also a small parking lot available along Church Street. The City of Huntsville has a parking garage in the BB&T Bank Building (across the street from the Museum) that offers 467 parking spaces in a well-lit, covered environment. Access to the parking garage is from the Fountain Circle street entrance. The garage is attended from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the week. There are parking fees.
