Huntsville, Ala – The Huntsville Museum of Art along with Voices of Our Times series sponsors PNC, Dorothy Davidson of Davidson Technologies and Colonial Printing will welcome renowned interior designer Charlotte Moss to Huntsville on Thursday, April 23, for two special events. Moss is the final presenter in the Museum’s three-part Voices of Our Times lecture series which previously featured bestselling author Frances Mayes and New York Times National Security Correspondent David E. Sanger.
The two-part event will begin Thursday, April 23, with an 11:30 a.m. luncheon, talk and book signing and will continue with a 7:00 p.m. talk and book signing.

Charlotte will be speaking on her latest book, Garden Inspirations, from which she will share key lessons culled from her time spent exploring gardens around the world, reading about them and enjoying her own.

“Charlotte Moss is one of today’s most respected designers,” Christopher J. Madkour, Museum Executive Director, said. “We are delighted to have her share her time and talents with the Huntsville Museum of Art.”

Since 1985, Charlotte Moss has designed private residents and executive suites all over the United States and the Caribbean. She has also authored eight books. In her most recent book, Garden Inspirations, Moss turns her eye to the garden as a resource for interiors, entertaining and good living. She shows us the many ways gardens provide inspiration every day – indoors and out.

Moss’ work has been published worldwide, and she has received numerous awards including being named one of The World’s Top 20 Interior Designers by Traditional Home magazine. Believing community service and philanthropy to be her most important missions, Moss serves on the Boards of The Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello, The Bone Marrow Foundation, The Elsie de Wolfe Foundation and the Advisory Board of The New York School of Interior Design.

Tickets to the 11:30 a.m. luncheon, talk and book signing are $75 for Museum members and $100 for non-members. Tickets to the 7:00 p.m. talk and book signing are $25 for Museum members and $45 for non-members. Both the luncheon and the evening reception will be held in the Loretta Spencer Hall.
