The skates range from toddler size 9 to adult size 14 (we are temporarily out of adult size 13). We do not have half sizes.

We do not have a minimum age for skating, but we urge parents to use their best judgement based on the child’s skating ability. Skate rental begins at toddler size 9.

Yes. Once you have paid for admission to Skating in the Park, you will receive a wristband that will be good for the entire day.
Yes. Iceworks is the rink-side vendor. Their menu is posted on the main webpage for Skating in the Park.
Yes. Benches are located in multiple areas around the ice skating rink for people to watch the skaters. There are also warming stations provided.
Yes. There are portable restrooms available on site near the ice skating rink, generously provided by the City of Huntsville. Ice skates are not allowed inside the restrooms.
Yes. We use a mat system for the rink floor that is charged with liquid coolant for the ice making process. Once the mats are in place, a skim coat of water is sprayed onto the mats. The ice is then painted white before layering the ice with more water. The floor is connected to a chiller that circulates the fluid to keep the ice frozen.
