DESCRIPTION:Girl Scout Art Museum Day \nArt Set in Motion! \nSaturday\, January 25\, 2020 \nSold Out! \n  \nGirl Scouts can earn art badges by participating in hands-on activities on this fun day. Learn about the visual arts while earning a Badge or Patch: \nDaisy: Art Museum Visit Fun Patch \nBrownie: Legacy –Artist – Painting Badge \nJunior: Legacy – Artist – Drawing Badge \nCadette: Art Museum Visit Fun Patch \nEach two-hour session includes a docent-led tour and a mixed media (painting and drawing) art activity program. Inspired by the FULL STEAM AHEAD! exhibition\, Girl Scouts will learn about works of art in the Museum’s permanent collection that illustrate various elements of science\, technology\, engineering\, art\, and mathematics — disciplines collectively known as STEAM. The exhibition encompasses artworks with scientific subject matter such as wildlife and nature\, mathematically patterned abstractions\, and art created with the help of engineering and technology. The exhibition is curated by the Huntsville Museum of Art Docent Association. All fees cover the cost of the tour and all materials that are provided.  \nQuestions? Daisy\, Brownie\, & Junior Girl Scouts • 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. \n  \nSession II: Sold Out! Brownie\, Junior\, & Cadette Girl Scouts • 1:00-3:00 p.m. \n  \nFees: $16 per Girl Scout (includes Badge or Patch)/ $16 per Girl Scout Troop Leader/Assistant (adult)  \n  \nDue to program capacity\, adults will be limited to Volunteer Essentials ratios. \n
