The art program introduces different painting and drawing media and techniques (water media\, graphite\, colored pencil\, marker\, and pastel) – into the homeschool curriculum. Curriculum will cover the visual components of color\, form\, line\, shape\, space\, texture and value. We’ll take Museum gallery visits to be inspired by different works of art – still life and landscapes as related to exhibitions. Through an in-depth study of art history\, curriculum-based studio art classes introduce more sophisticated principles of art\, while students create original art pieces. Winter Sculpture Session for Homeschooled Students: Ages 14-18 will be offered in January and February 2023. All New Projects! All Skill Levels

Thank you! \nHenrietta Spencer-Churchill studied Art History in Italy and France before enrolling at the Inchbald School of Design in London. She started her Interior Design business\, Woodstock Designs\, in 1981 having worked for 3 years with Diana Hanbury and Jean Monro. She specializes in the restoration and refurbishment of period and listed buildings with emphasis placed on conserving their historic value and features whilst bringing them into the 21st century. Many of her commissions are abroad which involves the challenges of learning about and incorporating local cultures and trends. She also has a company in the USA\, Spencer-Churchill Designs Inc.\, and has worked on many new build houses in the Georgian Style. As well as her Interior Design business\, much of her time is dedicated to the overseeing of the restorations of her family home Blenheim Palace\, the running of the Blenheim Foundation\, and organizing special and fundraising events. She is the author of 11 books and has carried out many lectures and TV appearances in the UK and USA\, where she also has licensing deals in furniture and rugs. She is currently filming a pilot TV program\, Hidden Treasures\, which will air on UK prime time TV in due course.
