DESCRIPTION:Accessible Art Works Docent-Led Tour\nDeaf/Hard of Hearing Session\nWednesday\, March 8 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.\nExhibition Tour of Encounters: John Cleaveland\nOur docents are leading a tour for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing through our Accessible Art Works program. The private tour is Wednesday\, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sessions fill up quickly\, so it is strongly recommended that attendees pre-register for each session. Sign up online at the button below or by contacting Audrey Creel\, the Docent/Tour Programs Coordinator at acreel@hsvmuseum.org or 256-535-4350 ext. 223. \n\nREGISTER ONLINE \n\nThe Accessible Art Works program provides a private\, docent-led tour of specific art pieces from a current exhibition\, followed by an art-making session led by a trained instructor. Accessible Art Works sessions are offered on a monthly basis. The sessions for the Blind/Low Vision will be verbally descriptive and contain tactile components. The Deaf/Hard of Hearing session will have an ASL Qualified Interpreter. We are pleased to offer the Accessible Art Workshop free of charge to participants and a companion\, thanks to a generous grant from the Lowe Foundation and a partnership with the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB). \nHMA is committed to advancing a diverse and inclusive space and community by creating and implementing accessibility initiatives. We believe art and public spaces should be accessible to all.
