Proportion and balance will be addressed through the construction process for the purpose of creating unique finished pieces. Build\, draw and paint kinetic abstract constructions and fantastical creatures. Media include air-dry clay\, foamboard\, wood\, wire\, paint\, markers\, and other materials for embellishment.

Explore the Museum’s latest exhibitions or visit favorites from the Museum collection during this after-hours event. Wine service has returned. Guests aged 21+ will be able to purchase a glass of wine from the Church Street Wine Shoppe for $7. At 6 p.m.\, Josh Allison will perform in the galleries. \nAbout Josh Allison: \nJosh Allison comes from humble beginnings in a small town\, Scottsboro\, Alabama. Influenced by music/art his entire youth\, he has been a full-time professional musician for the last 18 years. His original songs have earned him Writers Night spots (14) at The Bluebird Café in Nashville\, TN for 4 years (before the pandemic) as well as local songwriter showcases and an opening slot for Marc Broussard at Panoply in 2019. His debut EP\, “Hold You\,” (2015) and subsequent singles are influenced by Van Morrison\, Otis Redding\, John Fogerty\, and Robert Plant. His music can be described with three words: Dynamic. Passionate. Soulful. Josh can be found performing live 4-6 days a week across North Alabama/Tennessee for venues\, corporate parties\, weddings\, and busking from time to time.

It’s often used as a “warm up” for a bigger\, more detailed painting\, but it’s also a great practice for any on-the-go artist. This small-scale\, loose sketching approach is all about quick observation and capturing what you see on paper. Materials included. Space is limited to 8 students.
