At 6 p.m.\, Alex Murtha will perform in the galleries. \nAbout Alex Murtha: \nAlex Murtha is a multi-genre guitarist and singer who enjoys playing music that he finds soulful. Dubbed as “Baby John [Mayer]” by legendary record producer\, Om’mas Keith\, Alex grew up playing blues guitar and has since expanded into the world of jazz and neo-soul music. He has released music on streaming services both individually and as part of duo\, “rjght.” Whether playing a solo guitar arrangement of a popular song or constructing live-looped beats\, Alex strives to play music that either moves you or grooves you.

It’s often used as a “warm up” for a bigger\, more detailed painting\, but it’s also a great practice for any on-the-go artist. This small-scale\, loose sketching approach is all about quick observation and capturing what you see on paper. Materials included. Space is limited to 8 students.
