DESCRIPTION:Under Pressure: Painting with Air Art Demonstration with Nathan Payne\n\n\n\nSunday\, Jan. 16 | 5 – 6 p.m.\nMembers: Free | Non-Members: Included with $5 After 5 admission \nIn conjunction with the Under Pressure: A Survey of Contemporary Airbrush Realism exhibition\, Huntsville artist Nathan Payne will give an airbrush demonstration on closing day\, January 16\, from 3 – 4 p.m. Viewing the demonstration is free for Museum members or included with admission for Non-Members. \n \n“From a small town in Tennessee\, I’ve been drawing caricatures around the Tennessee and North Alabama area since 2007. Mostly self-taught with some schooling and an Associate Degree in Art\, I enjoy sci-fi\, fantasy\, comic and cartoon genres. I am a digital illustrator specializing in concept art specifically\, landscape and environment building. I’m create vibrant works of art using spray paint and airbrush on all kinds of surfaces. Professionally\, I’ve been drawing caricatures-on-the-fly as a street artist\, as well as drawing pencil portraits\, and various other commissioned pieces for over 10 years. I work in a variety of media. This week\, enjoy a special performance in the galleries by Dollie Meredith\, beginning at 6 p.m. \n \nAbout Dollie: \nDollie Meredith is a singer-songwriter with two independently produced and published works. A high school senior\, DM has a 6.5 octave voice and enjoys doing covers in addition to writing her own music. Her favorite musicians include Boy George\, Willow\, Amy Winehouse and the GoGo’s. Dollie Meredith loves animals and has two dogs and five chickens. She plans to attend Belmont College in Nashville next year and is eager to get to the “Music City” to see what it holds for her.
