Their community group has been together for over 15 years now\, we’re an inclusive all volunteer organization\, and perform locally for public events as well as for paid private events. Enjoy $5 admission from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.\, and explore the latest exhibitions or revisit your favorite pieces from our permanent collection. \nGuests aged 21+ can purchase a glass of wine selected by Church Street Wine Shoppe\, adding the perfect touch to your museum experience. \n  \nJosh Taylor: Guitarist\, composer\, and singer who cut his teeth in Nashville\, Tennessee before moving back to his hometown of Madison\, Alabama. He is an award-winning fingerstyle guitarist and took home the state champion title during the 2019 Athens Old Time Fiddler’s Convention Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and was the runner-up in 2021 with plans to reclaim his title in 2022. Josh is heavily influenced by the work of guitarists such as Tommy Emmanuel\, Jerry Reed\, Chet Atkins\, and Joe Robinson and his time spent studying these artists has yielded a sound that is reminiscent of his heroes while still providing his own modern twist. Josh is a member of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society and through his time with them has played with and for some of the best guitarists in the world including the aforementioned Tommy Emmanuel. Taylor’s sound covers a wide range of genres and he is able to go from country to jazz to pop to classical and even to rock n’ roll seamlessly (and somehow being able to do it all on one acoustic guitar!). He is also an educator and teaches privately at Colors Fine Arts Center in Huntsville Alabama.

DESCRIPTION:Wet Concrete Carving  \nElder Jones \nSkill Level: All levels of experience are welcome\, beginner to advanced \nFriday\, June 5: 1-4 p.m.\nSaturday\, June 6: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.\nSunday\, June 7: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. \n$500 members/$550 non-members \n  \nLearn to build forms\, prepare sand mix concrete\, sculpt and hand carve in the soft matrix in this wet-carved concrete workshop. No power tools or hammer and chisel are required. Students will be given a working understanding of Portland cement and the variety of possibilities the technique offers. Choose to make either a planter or sculpture of about 30 lbs. Carving tools and materials provided. DESCRIPTION:Still Life Oil Painting \nQiang Huang \nSkill Level: Beginner to Advanced \nThursday-Saturday\, June 11-13\, 2026\n9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.\n$500 members/$550 non-members \n  \nQiang’s approach to still life painting will be demonstrated with particular focus on creating dramatic set ups by observing the light distribution\, and using bold and loose strokes to create a powerful and accurate representation on canvas. \nUsing demonstrations and individual assistance\, Qiang will explain his process of creating energetic paintings by manipulating values\, colors\, edges\, and brushwork. Personal attention will be given to each student according to his or her current skill level and personal goals in art.
