His repertoire ranges from Bach to the Beatles and Debussey to Disney! Steven is married to his lovely wife Stephanie. They have two grown children and are enjoying the empty-nest years!

They perform using all the members of the flute family – piccolo\, flute\, alto flute\, bass flute\, and contra-bass flute (the only one in Huntsville!). Their community group has been together for over 15 years now\, we’re an inclusive all volunteer organization\, and perform locally for public events as well as for paid private events. Our members range from college students to retirees and include students as well as many professional musicians.

DESCRIPTION:Watercolor Floral \nSkill Level: All skill levels are welcome. \nFriday & Saturday\, November 1 & 2\, 2024 \n10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. \n$400 members/$450 non-members \n  \nJoin nationally renowned watercolor artist\, Alan Shuptrine\, for a floral/mist and lace watercolor workshop. Focusing on regional floral landscapes\, Alan will teach students how to create a watercolor from dark to light using wet and dry-brush techniques\, how to utilize lighting and distance to create your composition and applying detail in the foreground. \nAt the end of this two-day workshop\, participants will have a finished composition of their own. \n  \nA painter known for his watercolor technical ability\, sensitive and thought-provoking paintings\, Shuptrine has extended his reputation from a renowned master craftsman and water gilder to a nationally acclaimed watercolorist. His paintings are collected nationally\, in both corporate and private collections. Born the son of recognized painter\, Hubert Shuptrine (1936-2006)\, Alan has continued the legacy of realism that both Andrew Wyeth and his father Hubert established. \n  \nRegister for this event here
