Happy wedding week to Emilie and Todd! After a last-minute change in plans, we are lucky to work with this lovely couple. As part of our countdown to their special day, we are sharing their story.
The first spark:
How did you meet?
Todd and Emilie met at UAH in Mr. Slanovitz’s math class. Todd was a freshman at UAH and Emilie was dual enrolling her senior year of high school. After talking, they discovered that they were both attending UAB in Fall 2011. They continued their college careers at UAB and their friendship grew. After a few years, they decided to take their relationship to the next step. The couple have been together since 2013.
The adventure begins:
How did the proposal happen?
Emilie and Todd have a three year old son, Todd III. While she was pregnant, they took maternity photos in Piedmont Park in Atlanta. During the last few photos, the photographer had Emilie turn away from Todd to look at the pond in the distance. As she turned back around to Todd, he was on one knee, asked her to marry him, and she said yes! All the people passing by cheered for them.
Plans are made:
Why did you choose the Huntsville Museum of Art for your wedding event?
The museum was actually not their first venue; the original venue fell through four months before the wedding. However, the couple believe it was a blessing in disguise. Emilie was happy to find out that their November date was available and they are so excited to have their wedding at the museum. The aesthetic fits their personalities so much more than the previous venue, and everyone they have worked with has been so helpful and kind during the planning process. They cannot wait for their special day!
A moment to last a lifetime:
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
Getting together with all of our family and friends to celebrate! Todd and Emilie have been together for 8 years, so they are excited to finally get married.
