Fine art, live music, delicious food, great crowd…Each year, the Huntsville Museum of Art Guild’s annual fundraiser, UNFRAMED, provides guests with a fun and unforgettable evening!
And, the Guild’s 2019 UNFRAMED event will be no exception. On the evening of Thursday, April 4, 2019, the Guild invites you to The Eve of Prohibition. Step back in time to 1920 when swank and exuberance gained notoriety.
As a last hurrah leading up to the 1920 enactment of Prohibition, indulge in one evening of unbounded revelry! Enjoy your last “on the level” libations at one of the early hidden speakeasies. Feast on mouth-watering cuisine and bid on bedazzled live and silent auctions.
Glide down the red carpet and dare to be the premier “Extra, Extra! Read all about it!” headline or Selfie Salon Star adorned in 20’s style glitz and glam, cat’s meow or glad rags threads.
Boundaries blur between audience and performer as Footloose Flappers fancy the Charleston and 1920-era Candy Cigarette Girls work the room, while live music and frivolity prevail.
Join us for this spiffy Bee’s-Knees of a swell party – an immersive experience transporting you to high-spirited 1920, while raising money for the Huntsville Museum of Art during the opening celebration of the second installation of Our Shared Heritage.
As a component of Alabama’s Bicentennial celebration, Our Shared Heritage will highlight important works from the Museum’s collection by artists with strong Alabama ties.
Ignore your inhibitions for one night only, at UNFRAMED: The Eve of Prohibition. Tickets can be purchased online at hsvmuseum.org. Find additional information at the Huntsville Museum of Art Guild Facebook page @WGHMA. Our Shared Heritage Part II will be on view at the Museum through June 9, 2019.
