Admission Discounts:

 

The Museum offers a few different admission discounts. Adult general admission is $12, but Seniors (Ages 60+), Military, and Educators receive $10 admission. Admission for children ages 6-11 and all students is $5. Museum Members & children under 6 are free.

Museums for All:

 

As of July 31, 2023, discounted admission is also available for those who qualify through Museums for All. Individuals and families receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) will receive a reduced regular admission rate* of $3 each for up to four people by presenting their EBT card and a photo ID.
*Note: The Museums for All reduced admission does not apply to special events.

 

Holiday Closings:

 

The Huntsville Museum of Art is closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

 

Docent-Led Tours:

 

We welcome groups to experience Docent-led tours at the Huntsville Museum of Art! Participating in a guided tour can make a lasting impression on any group, whether adult or student, and will aid visitors with understanding the artworks in an exhibit on a more complete level. Accessibility:

The Huntsville Museum of Art is committed to advancing an inclusive space and community by creating and implementing accessibility initiatives. We believe art and public spaces should be accessible to all individuals of all abilities. A Handicap Call Box is located at the Davidson Entrance. Guests with mobility issues may receive immediate assistance from the Museum’s security personnel.

 

Additionally, the Museum offers an Accessible Art Workshop program that includes two components: One includes tours and workshops for people with vision impairment, low vision and blindness; the other component includes tours and workshops that are specific to deaf/hard of hearing. Parking:

The Museum has a parking lot adjacent to the building. Guests park for free during Museum hours by registering through PMC PAY and entering a code from the front desk. Parking in the lot without visiting the Museum will require payment.  Visit our Parking page for more information. Additional metered parking can be found along the street on Church Street, Williams Street and Fountain Row. Download the Passport parking app to pay for public parking meters and locate all public parking lots on the City of Huntsville’s website.

Additional paid parking is located in the garage under the Truist bank building. Look for the city’s blue directional signs around downtown Huntsville, pictured on the left.

General Visitor Photography:

Photography and filming by visitors are permitted on the Museum grounds and within most interior spaces of the Huntsville Museum of Art for private, noncommercial use. Gallery spaces generally permit photography and filming; however, specific restrictions may apply to certain traveling exhibitions. Guest Services will inform visitors of any limitations during their visit.

Tripods and flash photography are not permitted in any galleries, and the use of drones and selfie sticks is strictly prohibited throughout all areas at all times.

Visitors are encouraged to share their photos on social media using the hashtag #hsvmuseum.

Please note that photographs and videos taken may not be published, sold, reproduced, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited.

 

Professional Photography and Videography:

Commercial photography and videography at the Huntsville Museum of Art is defined as images or video created in or of the Museum property that any individual or organization intends to use for commercial, professional, advertising, or promotional purposes, including but not limited to film or television, advertising, retail merchandising, marketing, portfolio, educational, or published material, or any purpose for which the photographer or videographer is paid for the use of the image or video. Commercial photography and videography of the Museum is prohibited unless given direct permission by the Director of Communications.

Professional photography for personal use, not promotional use (engagements, maternity, graduation, etc.), is not permitted in the galleries. If you are renting the Museum for a wedding, please coordinate with the Director of Special Events for all photos. The same photography protocol applies (no flash photography or tripods).
