A Gilded Wilderness: The Artistry of Buccellati Silver
September 2025 – Ongoing
On view in Richard and Roper Gallery
Overview
Gilded Wilderness showcases the extraordinary artistry of Gianmaria Buccellati (1929–2015), whose hand-crafted silver animals are celebrated for their stunning realism and elegance.
Blurring the boundaries between fine art and luxury craftsmanship, each sculpture is a testament to Buccellati’s unmatched skill in texture, form, and intricate detail.
Now featured in a newly dedicated space, Buccellati’s masterpieces are presented alongside Bringing Art to Light, and Light to Art (2016), a fantastical glass and metal chandelier by Ginny Ruffner (1949–2025). Together, these works illuminate nature’s endless capacity to inspire beauty, innovation, and wonder
