Josh Taylor, guitarist, composer, and singer cut his teeth in Nashville, TN before moving back to his hometown of Madison, AL. He is an awrd-winning fingerstyle guitarist and took home the state champion title during the 2019 Athens Old Time Fiddler’s Convention Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and was the runner-up in 2021 with plans to reclaim his title in 2022. Josh is heavily influenced by the work of guitarist such as Tommy Emmanuel, Jerry Reed, Chet Adkins, and Joe Robinson. His time spent studying these artists has yielded a sound that is reminiscent of his heros while still providing his own modern twist. Josh is a member of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society. Through his time with them, he has played with and for some of the best guitartists in the world including the aformentioned Tommy Emmanuel. Taylor’s sound covers a wide range of genres. He is an educator and teaches privately at colors Fine Arts Center in Huntsville, AL.
