Some of the earliest evidence of human art suggests that people told stories with pictures, and narrative art can be found across nearly every culture and time period in human history. Telling Tales presents historical and contemporary works from the Museum’s collection that bring to light how stories can be told through different media, styles and time periods. Works of many different types will co-exist in the galleries for viewers to compare, contemplate, and discuss.
