Huntsville, Ala – The Huntsville Museum of Art (HMA) is excited to announce the opening of the newest exhibit, The Huntsville Photographic Society (HPS) 2017 Members’ Showcase. HPS will be on view at the Museum for general admission until August 6, 2017.
Don’t miss this snapshot of Huntsville’s most talented photographers at the Huntsville Museum of Art. The Huntsville Photographic Society Members’ Showcase is an annual, juried exhibition of photographs taken by the HPS members. This year’s exhibition officially opened on May 18th with a reception in the Lowe Board Room of the Davidson Wing in honor of the participating photographers.
For the first time since this series began there is a common theme among all photographs – Huntsville. Each entrant was tasked with capturing an aspect of our own Rocket City through both color and black and white photography in a range of styles. A juried selection of 48 photographs by the highly talented members of the HPS are currently on display at the Museum in this exhibition. The exhibition is organized by the HPS and the HMA.
