Prevailing Winds Flute Ensemble: a community flute choir from the Huntsville-Madison-TN-Valley area. They perform using all the members of the flute family — piccolo, flute, alto flute, bass flute, and contra-bass flute (the only one in Huntsville). Their community group has been together for over 15 years now, and is an inclusive, all volunteer organization, and perform locally for public events as well as for paid private events. Members range from college students to retirees and include students as well as many professional musicians.
Rocket City Bones: around since November 2014. Over the years, there have been players that have come and gone. But, the most amazing thing is that the number of trombone players that are connected through this ensemble has grown to over 100 from around the Tennessee Valley. This ensemble is comprised of trombone players of all levels of playing ability. We have professional gigging musicians, music teachers, arrangers, composers, college students, high school students, and middle school students.
