Art Set in Motion!

Sold Out!

Girl Scouts can earn art badges by participating in hands-on activities on this fun day. Learn about the visual arts while earning a Badge or Patch:

Daisy: Art Museum Visit Fun Patch

Brownie: Legacy –Artist – Painting Badge

Junior: Legacy – Artist – Drawing Badge

Cadette: Art Museum Visit Fun Patch

Each two-hour session includes a docent-led tour and a mixed media (painting and drawing) art activity program. Inspired by the FULL STEAM AHEAD! exhibition, Girl Scouts will learn about works of art in the Museum’s permanent collection that illustrate various elements of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics — disciplines collectively known as STEAM. The exhibition encompasses artworks with scientific subject matter such as wildlife and nature, mathematically patterned abstractions, and art created with the help of engineering and technology. The exhibition is curated by the Huntsville Museum of Art Docent Association. All fees cover the cost of the tour and all materials that are provided.
