Happy wedding week 2.0 to Abygail and Alex! As part of our countdown to the celebration of their special day, we are sharing their story.
The first spark:
How did you meet?
Alex and Abygail met while Abygail was visiting friends in Nashville during the summer of 2017. They dated long distance as they both finished up college. After graduating, Alex moved from the Knoxville area to Birmingham to be closer to Abygail while she finished school at the University of Alabama. After she graduated in 2020, they got married. They have quarantined together over the past year.
The adventure begins:
How did the proposal happen?
Alex proposed in Destin, Florida on a beautiful fall morning. The couple went for a sunrise walk on the beach. He tried to surprise Abygail, but they both already knew they were going to get married.
Plans are made:
Why did you choose the Huntsville Museum of Art for your wedding event?
From the moment they started to plan their wedding, the Huntsville Museum of Art was their favorite location. Their first date was at an art museum and they thought it would be fitting to have their wedding reception at one as well. Abygail loves that their guests will get to enjoy the wonderful art and the beautiful view of Big Spring Park.
A moment to last a lifetime:
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
They are so excited to see family and friends for the first time in over a year! Alex and Abygail were blessed to get officially married a little over a year ago and cannot wait to finally have a beautiful wedding celebration with the ones they love.
