Huntsville, Ala – Beginning the week of March 28, the Huntsville Museum of Art’s Museum Academy will offer NEW art classes for ages 3 through eighth grade. Classes will include ceramics, drawing, and painting. Other classes will include BIG & small: Mixed Media; Splish, Splash into Spring; Meet the Masters: Drawing and Painting; Clayworks; and Writing and Illustration. Saturday classes will include Fun with Folk Art and Intro to Fashion Illustration.

The Museum will also offer Parent and Child classes and an Art for Homeschooled Students–Drawing program. High schoolers and adults will also have several class options from which to choose. Adults can enjoy classes in ceramics, drawing, acrylic, oil and watercolor painting. In March, classes will include Acrylic Painting: The Art of Still Life; Impressionist Still Lifes in Oil; and Classical Portrait Painting in Oil.

In April, classes will include Watercolor, Stained Glass Expressions, and Soft Pastels. This spring and summer, the Museum will also offer Master Artist Workshops, including Watercolor Solutions: Still Life, Landscapes and Portraits/Figures with artist Charles Reid (April 11-15) and Capturing Light, Color and Atmosphere in Pastel with Robert K. Carsten (August 18-21).
