Happy wedding week to Anna Catherine and Owen! As part of our countdown to their wedding this weekend, we are sharing their story.

The first spark:

How did you meet?

Owen and Anna Catherine have known each other for a long while since their families were friends during their upbringing. They attended Huntsville High School and Auburn University together but didn’t begin dating until they reconnected in Nashville after school.

The adventure begins:

How did the proposal happen?

Owen proposed in December during a beach trip with Anna Catherine’s family. On the night of the proposal, Anna Catherine’s family told her to be ready for pictures on the beach before dinner. They asked her and Owen to go out to the beach before them and find a good spot. The weather was densely foggy and misty, so Anna Catherine didn’t understand why they had decided to take pictures that night. While waiting on the beach, Owen told her to turn around because he wanted a picture of her and the view. Anna Catherine was still confused, but she did as he asked. When he told her to turn back around and look at the picture, he was down on one knee.

Plans are made:

Why did you choose the Huntsville Museum of Art for your wedding event?

Anna Catherine and Owen always knew they wanted to have their wedding back in their hometown. They especially love the downtown area, so they chose the Museum for its beautiful view of Big Spring Park as well as the indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces.

A moment to last a lifetime:

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

They are most excited to celebrate their marriage with their loved ones at the reception. They can’t wait to dance the night away!
