Happy wedding week to Hannah and Cody! As part of our countdown to their celebration this weekend, we are sharing their story.

The first spark:

How did you meet?

Cody and Hannah met in high school when Hannah’s friend took Cody as her date to a social event. Hannah’s friend introduced them and the two became fast friends. Hannah recalls talking to Cody every day after their introduction. It took a few months, but eventually the couple escaped the friend zone.

The adventure begins:

How did the proposal happen?

Cody proposed on their 10th dating anniversary. Pretending it was a normal date for their anniversary, Cody packed Hannah’s favorite foods and took her to the scenic overlook on Monte Sano. While eating and watching the beautiful sunset, Cody asked Hannah to get up and take a picture. Little did she know, he was preparing to propose. Cody had worked everything out with the security guards at Monte Sano, so they were allowed to remain in the park later than it usually stays open. He had also planned for some of their friends to hang around in disguise, taking pictures and celebrating with them.

Plans are made:

Why did you choose the Huntsville Museum of Art for your wedding event?

Hannah and Cody chose the Huntsville Museum of Art because of how perfect the Loretta Spencer Hall was for their special day. They fell in love with the tall windows and the view of Big Spring Park, and were thrilled to have found a place that can host the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception in the same room. The Museum is also in walkable distance of many hotels, so it is convenient for their guests. They are grateful that Jennifer Goff was so easy to talk to, and they know they are in good hands!

A moment to last a lifetime:

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

Though it is difficult for Hannah to pick one thing to look forward to about her wedding day, the first thing that comes to her mind is how excited she is to spend time with loved ones. She hasn’t seen some of her guests in a very long time. She and Cody love their friends and family so much and can’t wait to celebrate with them. Additionally, they are looking forward to the delicious food from Church Street Catering!
