After saying “I do”, Lynda and Chris Weber celebrated their wedding with a reception at the Huntsville Museum of Art. The happy couple enjoyed a special day with their friends and family.

The first spark:

How did you meet?

We met online. Chris had posted a clever and funny profile, so Lynda reached out to meet him.

The adventure begins:

How did he propose?

Very romantic! Chris proposed on a hot August day (8-18-18) at Hillwood Museum in Washington, DC. Hillwood is the former home of Marjorie Merriweather Post (https://www.hillwoodmuseum.org/gardens.) and a favorite place of ours. He choose a quiet moment in the gardens, got down on one knee and eloquently proposed. When Chris asked for her hand in marriage, Lynda replied, “Absolutely!”

Plans are made:

Why did you choose the Huntsville Museum of Art for your wedding event?

We love HMA’s beautiful space and convenient location.

A moment to last a lifetime:

What is your favorite memory/detail of your wedding day?

The warmth and love from our family and friends that surrounded us. It was truly a happy, beautiful day.

A venue to remember:

What was your favorite part of having your wedding at the Huntsville Museum of Art?

The setting — particularly the room’s lighting and seating arrangement in relation to the stage and dance floor — was fantastic. The foyer provided a perfect location for our Pittsburgh-themed “cookie table” and for our beautiful cake. Throughout the preparation process for the reception, the museum’s staff was so helpful. They worked with Lynda and our planner on every detail. It was all a beautiful experience.
