Happy anniversary and reception week to Morgan and Taylor! After rescheduling their wedding at HMA three times, they decided to get married last year in Montana. This week, they are finally getting to celebrate with a reception and anniversary party. As part of our countdown to their special celebration, we are sharing their story.
The first spark:
How did you meet?
Taylor and Morgan are from the same hometown, so they have always known each other. The couple started dating in high school and have been together ever since.
The adventure begins:
How did the proposal happen?
Taylor proposed to Morgan on a Sunday afternoon at his family’s farm. They had been dating for about ten years at that point, so Morgan knew an engagement would happen soon. It was just the two of them at the farm. Morgan thought they were just going there to spend some time there before heading back to Atlanta, where they lived at the time. She was wearing an old college t-shirt, after all, so a proposal that day was definitely not what she was expecting. It was sweet, and Taylor definitely found a way to surprise her after ten years.

Why did you choose the Huntsville Museum of Art for your wedding event?
The Museum is in a perfect location and is so ideal for wedding photos! Morgan loved the windows and the built-in stage for the band. There are so many options for rooms depending on wedding size, and she has really been able to customize a lot of the reception details.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
Morgan and Taylor are looking forward to finally being able to celebrate their marriage with our closest family and friends. After a lot of waiting and rescheduling, they are excited to dance and spend their first anniversary with the people they love the most.
