Huntsville, Ala. – At a time when domestic and world affairs are constantly changing and creating a sense of heightened anxiety, where are we going as a leader of nations? This and other questions will be disucssed when award winning PBS News Hour Correspondent John Yang addresses a number of “hot topics,” which are changing the course of history each day. Yang’s presentation kicks off the Huntsville Museum of Art’s 2019-2020 acclaimed Voices of Our Times series on Thursday, November 7, at 7 p.m.

Executive Director, Christopher Madkour said, “The Board of Diretors and I extend our appreciation to Huntsville resident and Museum member, Wendy Yang, for encouraging her brother John, to be part of the Museum’s Voices of Our Times series. I know many people will want to hear John’s candid and insightful perspective of what is happening in Washington and beyond.”

John Yang covered the first year of the Trump administration and is currently reporting on major national issues in Washington, DC, and across the country. Yang was part of an NBC team that reported on In Plain Sight: Poverty in America, a 2013 George Foster Peabody Award recipient. His reporting in April 2011 on tornado devastation in Alabama was included in an NBC Nightly News broadcast that received an Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast.
