About the Prevailing Winds Flute Ensemble:
Prevailing Winds is a community flute choir from the Huntsville-Madison-TN-Valley area. They perform using all the members of the flute family: piccolo, flute, alto flute, bass flute, and contra-bass flute (the only one in Huntsville!). Their community group has been together for over 15 years. They are an inclusive, all-volunteer organization, performing locally for public events as well as for paid private events. Their members range from college students to retirees, and include student musicians as well as professionals.
