Happy wedding week to Lindsay and Andrew! Not only are they having their ceremony and reception at the Museum, but the couple also got engaged here! We are honored to share so many special memories with them. As part of our countdown to their special day, we are sharing their story.
The first spark:
How did you meet?
The couple met through mutual friends. A friend of Andrew’s that Lindsay had just met told her that she HAD to meet this guy from Huntsville because he thought they would hit it off. She ended up in town a few months later. From Andrew’s perspective, the prettiest lady he’d ever seen walked through the door so he had to talk to her. As expected, they in fact did hit it off and the rest is history.
The adventure begins:
How did the proposal happen?
Lindsay and Andrew were sitting at dinner when Andrew got a phone call that his sister was performing at the Huntsville Museum of Art. Once the couple arrived at the museum, they walked through the galleries towards where the dance performance would supposedly be. All of a sudden, Andrew disappeared. Lindsay walked into a room where Andrew was hiding. The room had a table with framed pictures and handwritten notes. Andrew had been writing letters from three months into their relationship about various stages of the relationship. The first letter started with, “If you’re reading this then things have worked out how I hoped.” That letter was about developing feelings. The next one was about falling in love, then knowing they should get married, and the last letter told the story of when Andrew asked her family’s permission to propose. When Andrew came out of his hiding spot after Lindsay put down the last letter, he asked her if she wanted to spend forever together. She said yes!
Plans are made:
Why did you choose the Huntsville Museum of Art for your wedding event?
Andrew and Lindsay got engaged at the Huntsville Museum of Art so it was already special to them. They toured multiple venues around the city, but it just felt right to get married in the beautiful building that already had special, personal memories in the middle of downtown Huntsville.
A moment to last a lifetime:
