Huntsville, Ala – The Huntsville Museum of Art’s (HMA) Museum Academy will offer art classes for age 3 through eighth grade. Classes include ceramics, drawing, painting, and multi-media. Other classes include Zoofari: Ages 3-5, Animals in 3-D: Feathers, Fur, Fins & Scales – Grades K-4, Drawing: Ages 9 & Up, Saturday Parent/Child: Exploring Masterpieces: Matisse, Ages 5 & Up, Art for Homeschooled Students: Mixed Media: Art Exploration for ages 5-13 and new this year Elements of Art for ages 14-18.
The Museum will offer several high school and adult classes. Adults can enjoy classes in ceramics, drawing, oil or watercolor painting. Intro to Life Drawing and Make Your Mark: Gelli Arts Printmaking Techniques, Abstraction in Acrylics, Luminous Landscapes in Colored Pencil, Stained Glass Sun Catchers, Dynamic Landscapes in Oil, Wet Felted Vessels: Surface Design & Resists and Stained Glass Ornaments.
Master Artist Workshops will include Alla Prima Clothed Figure & Portrait Painting with David Shevlino (October 18-21); Watercolor Painting: Let the Colors Paint Themselves with Lian Quan Zhen (November 9-11) and Painting the Landscape in Oil with Perry Austin (November 15-17).

Museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.; until 8 p.m. on Thursdays; open Sundays 12- 5 p.m.; closed Mondays and some major holidays.
