Huntsville, Ala – As a part of the Huntsville Museum of Art’s (HMA) Voices of Our Times 2017 series, Leigh Gallagher, Assistant Managing Editor at Fortune, will be at HMA on January 21st at 7 p.m. for a talk, book signing and reception.

At Fortune, Gallagher writes and edits feature stories, helps steer the brand’s multi-platform editorial coverage, oversees the “40 Under 40” rankings and serves as the host of Fortune Live – Fortune.com’s weekly half-hour business show featuring interviews and analysis with key players in business and leadership.

“I’m greatly looking forward to seeing and experiencing Huntsville and talking about economic trends impacting the way we live today, from shifting political winds to the resurgence of urban centers to the disruptive forces of new-economy companies like Airbnb,” said Gallagher.  “And I’m especially excited to do this all in a setting as inspiring and important as the Huntsville Museum of Art.”

In 2013, Gallagher published The End of the Suburbs: Where the American Dream is Moving, a book that sparked a national debate on the future of how and where we live. She has discussed the book on multiple television outlets including the TODAY Show, Meet the Press, Morning Joe, the CBS Evening News, Fareed Zakaria GPS and more.

Most recently, Gallagher published The Airbnb Story: How Three Ordinary Guys Disrupted an Industry, Made Billions…and Created Plenty of Enemies.  This book, being released in February, is the remarkable behind-the-scenes story of the creation and growth of Airbnb, the online lodging platform that has become, in under a decade, the largest provider of accommodations in the world.
