Huntsville, Ala. – Museum member ticket sales are now open for the upcoming Voices of Our Times speaker, Paul Finebaum. Paul Finebaum’s event will be held at the Museum on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. and will include a talk and reception. Limited seats are remaining and non-member tickets will go on sale on October 5th. Become a member and reserve a seat before this becomes another sold-out event.
Paul Finebaum is a television and radio personality, and former columnist. After many years as a reporter, columnist, and sports-talk radio host in the Birmingham area, Finebaum was hired by ESPN in 2013 for its SEC Network where he now produces a radio and television simulcast out of the network’s regional base in Charlotte. The show is also heard on SiriusXM radio.
Paul Finebaum is considered one of the medium’s finest interviewers. His work has earned him over 250 national, regional, and area sports writing awards including the APSE award in 1983 for best investigative reporting. Since joining ESPN, he has written for both ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.com.
Voices of Our Times is an annual series that brings people of note in the arts, academia, design, publishing, politics and sports to the Huntsville Museum of Art for candid, in-depth discussions and presentations. Museum Executive Director Christopher J. Madkour established the Voices series a few months after his arrival in 2011 and it has since become a signature program at HMA with noted speakers including: Gloria Vanderbilt, Ali MacGraw, David Sanger and Carl Bernstein to name a few.
Paul Finebaum’s presentation will be the first installment of the 2018-2019 Voices series. The next three speakers will be anchor Jon Scott of the FOX News Channel; civil rights activist Ambassador Andrew Young, Jr.; and interior designer Nina Campbell.
