Art Demonstration: The Science of Art with Aynslee Moon
Aynslee Moon Smithee has a B.F.A. in painting from the University of Mississippi in Oxford and an M.F.A. in painting from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Her artwork focuses on intimate family moments, interior spaces, landscapes, and small objects that capture her attention. Throughout her process she explores color language, composition, the poetics of light and shadows, and sensitive, gestural mark-making. She works in a variety of media, mainly oil paints, charcoal, and watercolor. She is also a mother, an aspiring pastor, and a part-time instructor at The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
