Huntsville, Ala –The Huntsville Museum of Art (HMA) is proud to participate in the 2018 Armed Forces Celebration Week by offering free general admission to all active and retired military personnel and their immediate families from Tuesday, June 26 through Saturday, June 30, 2018.
The Museum offers a discounted military rate continuously throughout the year, but are happy to further show appreciation to all branches of the military and those men and women who serve the country during the city-wide Armed Forces Celebration Week.
On display during this time period are Duty, Honor, Country: Highlights from the West Point Museum Collection; Encounters: Jim Jobe; The Life & Art of Mary Petty; Alan Shuptrine: The Serpentine Chain; Huntsville Photographic Society: 2018 Members’ Showcase; American Studio Glass; and Buccellati: A Silver Menagerie.
For those who wish to visit the Museum and receive the Armed Forces Celebration free admission offer, the active or retired military member must show his or her valid military identification card. The military members’ immediate family will be included in the free admission (one adult and up to five children under the age of 18).
Also during Armed Forces Celebration Week, there will be Yoga Joes hidden around the Museum. If a person finds one of the Joes, they can take it to the Museum Store and redeem it for a free Suzy’s Pop or 40% off of one item in the store.
