Huntsville Museum of Art Launches Keep it Cool Challenge with PNC Bank

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Huntsville Museum of Art (HMA) is excited to announce the Keep It Cool Challenge, a community-driven fundraising initiative led by PNC Bank and co-sponsored by The Daniel Foundation of Alabama, Pei Ling Charitable Trust/David Chan. Running from March through June, this campaign aims to raise $50,000 to help cover operating expenses incurred during the time when we are closed to install a state-of-the-art HVAC upgrade. This installation will ensure that HMA continues to be a premier cultural destination for all.

As stewards of our artistic and cultural history, the galleries and collection storage areas have strict temperature and humidity requirements.

During the museum’s temporary closure, HMA invites members, donors, and the broader community to rally in support of its future. This essential HVAC system upgrade will help preserve artwork, enhance the visitor experience, and prepare the museum for upcoming world-class exhibitions.

The Keep It Cool Challenge is a vital effort to uphold our commitment to bringing exceptional art experiences to Huntsville,” said Christopher J. Madkour, Executive Director of HMA. “We appreciate PNC Bank’s leadership in this campaign and the generous support of our co-sponsors. We are also grateful to the City of Huntsville for their financial support with the HVAC upgrade. We look forward to engaging our community in reaching this fundraising goal.”

The campaign will feature a variety of engagement opportunities, donor recognition initiatives, and special member events once the museum reopens.
