Simon Jacobsen is the second speaker in the Voices of Our Times series. Jacobsen Architecture, the acclaimed firm based in Washington, D.C., is the combined design careers of two award-winning architects, Hugh Newell Jacobsen and his son, Simon Jacobsen. With more than 130 major awards for architecture, interiors and graphic design, the Jacobsen design aesthetic extends throughout the globe. The firm is known for designing Jackie Onassis’ home on Martha’s Vineyard, Malcolm Forbes’ home in Michigan and the West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol. Jacobsen’s work has been published in Architectural Digest, The Washington Post, Vogue and Residential Architect.
