Huntsville, Ala – Beginning the week of January 11, the Huntsville Museum of Art’s Museum Academy will offer art classes for ages 3 through eighth grade. Classes will include ceramics, drawing, and painting.

Other classes include: Spectacular Sculptures; Drawing and Painting: More than Meets Your Eye; Saturday classes: 3-D POP Art and Be MY Valentine; parent and child classes; and an Art for Homeschooled Students – Ceramics program.

In addition, the Museum will offer several high school and adult classes. Adults can enjoy classes in ceramics, drawing, acrylic, oil and watercolor painting. In January, classes will include Classical Painting Techniques. In February, classes will include Transparent Watercolor Landscapes, Portrait Painting Techniques, and Intro to Stained Glass.

Master Artist Workshops will also be offered this winter to include: Water Gilding Demonstration and Workshop with Alan Shuptrine and Watercolor Secrets Revealed with Tom Lynch. More workshops will be held in March with artist David Dunlop, in April with
Charles Reid, and in August with Robert K. Carsten.
